The TESDA Occidental Mindoro was successfully implemented the Poverty Reduction, Livelihood and Employment Cluster (PRLEC) Project in Brgy. Pag-asa, Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro, a Priority Development Barangay” highlighting the conduct of skills training on Assembly of Solar Nightlight and Post Lamp. There are 48 scholars in total and all of them are Indigenous People of Sablayan. The training provider of the said qualification is the Occidental Mindoro Provincial Training Center. It was attended by the Employees and Staffs of Occidental Mindoro Provincial Training Center led by Olivette J. Pastores, Sablayan MPS led by PLTCOL Allan F. Montillana, Jr., Sablayan Municipal Mayor Hon. Walter B. Marquez and TESDA Occidental Mindoro Provincial Director Rosalina P. Reyes.
On the other hand, November 4, 2022 the much-awaited Closing Ceremony were held with the following highlights:
- 100% distribution of the Training Support Fund for the training graduates or a total of 48 participants’/IP beneficiaries pegged at P1,280.00;
- 100% Distribution of New Normal allowance and uniform allowance pegged at Php1,000.00 each for the total 48 completers;
- Presentation of the candidates for graduation by the Sr. TESDS of PTC – Occidental Mindoro Mr. Bhernel Janine Salvio;
- Conferment of graduates, Awarding of Training Certificates and starter toolkits by PD Rosalina P. Reyes; and
- LGU Sablayan commits for livelihood fund assistance to the graduate.
The successful implementation of the project and the closing ceremony will not be made possible without the full cooperation and support of the following partner/member agencies such as the LGU-Sablayan, Provincial Government of Occidental Mindoro, and Philippine National Police for their continuous support which made this convergence project truly remarkable.
