Calapan City – In a momentous ceremony held at the TESDA MIMAROPA Regional Office on December 2, 2025, Simeon Suan Vocational and Technical College (SSVTC) reaffirmed its commitment to not just educate, but to employ.
Headed by VSA Israfel L. Mangui, SSVTC signed a strategic Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and key recruitment and industry partners to create a seamless “training-to-employment” pipeline.
The DOST collaboration focuses on integrating advanced Food Safety Training into the curriculum—ensuring that TESDA scholars in SSVTC possess the high-demand skills that industries require right now.
Meanwhile, by partnering directly with employment agencies, SSVTC is securing a clearer path to job placement for every graduate.
Six distinguished partners formalized their collaboration with SSVTC for recruitment, employment facilitation, and food safety training, namely, One Source General Solution Inc., PKI Manufacturing and Technology Inc., Counterpart Resource Multipurpose Cooperative, AvancePilipinas, Inc., NatCorp Career Growth and Manpower Services Inc., and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
With the strong support of TESDA MIMAROPA Regional Director Baron Jose L. Lagran and TESDA Oriental Mindoro Provincial Director Renato T. Dela Cruz, Jr., PhD., MMEP, the ceremony highlighted the shared commitment to industry-aligned education and workforce development, marking another milestone for SSVTC in advancing skills and opportunities in Oriental Mindoro.
