Calapan City – Local Government Officials of Oriental Mindoro, DOLE Regional Official and staff, TVET Representatives, private stakeholders, development partners and the media today, March 14, 2017, 10:00AM to 12:00N at Brgy. Tawiran, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro joined TESDA Deputy Director General for TESD Operations Alvin S. Feliciano, TESDA MIMAROPA Officials and staff headed by the Regional Director Carlos C. Flores to celebrate the Ground Breaking Ceremony of TESDA MIMAROPA Regional Office and TESDA Provincial Office of Oriental Mindoro.

The messages of support from the distinguished guests centered on the vision and commitment as portrayed by Dir. Carlos C. Flores, Regional Director of TESDA MIMAROPA and the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Raul Villamor for donating a lot where the offices will be situated.  They also highlighted the support and active partnership between TESDA and the local government units in providing skills training to their constituents.

DDG Feliciano in his speech lauded the achievements of RD Flores in only a matter of less than three months as regional director and encourages other directors to emulate such action.   It is also the dream of the TESDA Administration thru Secretary Guiling A. Mamondiong.

that all regions and provinces would have their own Regional Training Centers and Provincial Training Centers. This is one way of expanding the programs and services of TESDA and thereby creates employment opportunities to improve the lives of the people.

The groundbreaking ceremony ended with the signing of the blueprint and burying of time capsule in the site.  The construction of the building is under the Training-cum Production Scheme.
