Provincial Director Rosalina P. Reyes and Mr. Dionisio A. Genil, Acting VSA OF ROMTTAC spearheaded the opening program of the 3-day Assessment Moderation together with the PO and ROMTTAC personnel. Mr. Genil gladly welcomed the participants and PD Reyes gave her opening message. She said that this activity aimed to upgrade the knowledge, skills and attitude of all assessors and give updates in the new implementing guidelines, circulars and other issuances of TESDA.
In attendance were 43 Assessors from different sectors namely: 1) Agri-fishery; 2) Automotive and Land Transportation; 3) Construction; 4) Electrical and Electronics; 5) Human Health/Health Care; 6) ICT; 7) Metals and Engineering; 
Social & Other Community Services; and 9) Tourism.
MIMAROPA Regional Director Angelina M. Carreon joined via Zoom and conveyed her special message to the participants. In her message she highlighted the importance of Competency Assessor who plays a vital role in Competency Assessment and Certification System. They conduct competency assessment process for persons applying for certification. They support and assess students working towards a vocational qualification within a college, training center, or workplace. It is an assessor’s job to ensure that trainees meet the occupational standards required to achieve their qualifications. She likewise commended the TESDA- Occidental Mindoro for steering an important activity like this Assessor’s Moderation.
