he “Perang Inimpok Savings Option” or the PISO Plus Account for TESDA 4B Scholars Project in partnership with Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) is a significant initiative aimed at enhancing the financial inclusion and empowerment of the TESDA MIMAROPA scholars. The PISO account is the latest LBP service which caters specifically to individuals with no capacity to open regular deposit accounts with higher maintaining balance and documentary requirements. The project provides digital platform for e-wallets for TESDA scholars to facilitate the distribution of training support fund and other subsidy allowances included in the TESDA scholarship programs.
TESDA (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority) allows the release of allowances through e-payment systems as stated in TESDA Circular No. 004, series of 2024 or the 2024 Omnibus Guidelines in the Implementation of Scholarship Programs and following the procedures and requirements prescribed under COA Circular No. 2021-014, series of 2021 to ensure transparency, efficiency, and accountability.
The project was officially launched on August 30, 2024, held at the Activity Hall, 3rd floor of the TESDA MIMAROPA Building, Brgy. Tawiran, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. It was marked by a formal signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between key stakeholders, setting the stage for the project’s objectives, targets and implementation.
