DIGITAL SYNERGY

The TESDA Oriental Mindoro Provincial Office, in partnership with TESDA MIMAROPA, conducted a Technical Workshop on the TESDA Training Management Information System (T2MIS) and the Biometric-enabled Shcolarship Registration System (BSRS) on June 3, 2025. The activity aimed to enhance the participants’ capacity in navigating and maximizing the use of T2MIS and BSRS, while also addressing recurring technical issues and ensuring data accuracy and timeliness. The activity also provided an opportunity for participants to raise questions, clarify system-related concerns, and suggest improvements, fostering a collaborative approach to solving implementation challenges.

Held in a hybrid setup, the training brought together focal persons from Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs) and Provincial Offices across the MIMAROPA region. Face-to-face participants from OrMin gathered at the TESDA MIMAROPA Building in Barangay Tawiran, Calapan City, while focal persons from other provinces joined virtually via Zoom.

In her virtual message, Dir. Angelina M. Carreon, CESO III, Regional Director of TESDA MIMAROPA and Concurrent Provincial Director of Oriental Mindoro, emphasized the importance of reliable information systems in improving service delivery and policy planning. She also lauded the commitment of the participants and TESDA OrMin in pushing for more responsive and innovative solutions within TESDA operations.

The program included a comprehensive overview of the T2MIS and BSRS, presented by Mr. Mel Angelo C. Estoque, Regional ITO I. During his presentation, Mr. Estoque provided valuable insights into the functionalities and benefits of both systems. He also shared updated statistical data on the number of enrolled trainees, graduates, individuals assessed, and those who have been certified, offering a clear picture of the region’s performance and accomplishments in technical education and skills development.

Participants gained valuable insights through expert-led discussions facilitated by the Information and Communications Technology Office (ICTO). Mr. Emmanuel Rey V. Sanchez, ITO I, led the orientation and technical session on T2MIS, while Mr. Stephen Paul B. Andoyo, CMT II, conducted the session on BSRS. Their presentations offered practical guidance on system navigation, addressed common issues encountered by users, and outlined strategies to improve data accuracy and quality.

Beyond the technical discussions, both speakers actively engaged with the participants by addressing firsthand queries and concerns. This open dialogue not only clarified specific system-related challenges but also fostered a collaborative environment where participants could share experiences and best practices.

This initiative forms part of TESDA MIMAROPA’s ongoing efforts to improve digital systems adoption, strengthen data integrity, and ensure more responsive program delivery for communities across the MIMAROPA region.
