The TESDA Provincial Offices of the MIMAROPA Region invited industry partners. However, some of them were not able to come during the scheduled WCO due to valid reasons. In the case of TESDA Palawan, the August 25 date which falls on Sunday also deferred employers from sending their staff for the interview. Of the two (2) government agencies, three (3) representatives came. They were from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the City and Provincial PESO.

Meanwhile, for the TESDA Romblon, of the three (3) government agencies, three (3) representatives came. They were from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Social Welfare & Development (DSWD) and the Department Agrarian Reform (DAR).

And for TESDA Oriental Mindoro, five (5) representatives came. They were from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) and Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro (PGOrM).

  • KEY ACHIEVEMENTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
  • WCO started on time for all the provincial offices in their respective venues wherein 8% from the total number of clients were Hired On The Spot (HOTS).
  • For the TESDA Palawan Provincial Office, the clients felt comfortable because the venue was spacious and air conditioned which made the employers and applicants proactive.
  • Despite of heavy rains, employers and applicants were really active in TESDA Romblon Provincial Office.
  • While for the TESDA Oriental Mindoro, the venue was conducive for both for the employers and applicants because it was able to accommodate all the persons involved in the said event.
  • Great help for TVET/Alumni graduates because the employers were willing to hire the qualified applicants.
